Sugarjones Sweet Beginnings

Since our humble beginings at the Rural St. shop in 2011, Sugarjones Bakery has taken great pride in offering beautiful and delectable sweet treats. We continue to be a trendsetter and innovator in the world of specialty desserts. We’re dedicated to our dream of always providing our customers an exciting and memorable experience.

Rockford's First Dessert Bakery

Sugarjones Bakery is Rockford’s First Dessert bakery opening in 2011.  Sugarjones Bakery has taken great pride in offering beautiful and delectable, sweet treats.  We continue to be a trendsetter and innovator in the world of specialty desserts.  We’re dedicated to our goal of always providing top-notch customer service with the best products in town.

Our Story

New owners, Danna and John Krischke have given Sugarjones a new breath of life, with their recent purchase of the locally famous bakery, in 2024. They have kept the same, incredible recipes you’ve grown to know and love, along with the same bakers and staff you’ve enjoyed over the years. Danna, being a small business owner for several years and several businesses, is no stranger to hard work. She has plans to expand the menu and create even more offerings to keep your taste buds challenged.

 

Danna is also a certified personal trainer and nutritionist, and is excited to start offering some healthier choices as well. Expanding into the a new space at Sugarjones Café, will allow more space for natural fruit smoothies, smoothie bowls, protein packed salads and shakes, along with hot and iced coffee drinks, soft serve ice cream, slushies, a candy wall, and much more, to have an option for literally everyone!

John and Danna are born and raised locally in our community and are large supporters of Rockford and surrounding areas. They have been together for 27 amazing years and have built a wonderful life here with their nine children. Danna has always dreamed of owning a bakery since she was a little girl.  She spent a lot of time baking with her grandmother, who inspired her to pursue this venture. John, the ever-supportive husband, just follows Danna’s crazy ideas with love and energy. Together, they plan to keep Sugarjones the best bakery in town, and hope to grow to more locations in the near future with your continued support!

We Believe in Giving Back

Here at Sugarjones Inc., we feel that supporting our community is as vital as freshly baked cupcakes.

We do have a few guidelines and practices we follow before deciding which organizations/events receive a donation:

​

  1. Must be a registered charity.

  2. Must be able to provide documentation.

  3. We do not donate to political or religious organizations and reserve the right to decline a request from such an organization at any time.

  4. We prefer to donate directly to an organization and will only accept third-party fundraisers on a limited basis.

  5. For large party donations, we reserve the right to decline the request unless assured sole representation of baked goods or the like.

  6. We request, in writing (email is acceptable), what representation Sugarjones Inc. will be afforded in your advertising and promotion of the event.

All requests must go directly through this form and must be submitted no later than 30 days before the event to be considered.
